A lottery club or pool (also known as a lottery syndicate) is a group of people who collectively play together and split lottery winnings. Pooling financial resources to make block lottery ticket purchases is not only legal but highly encouraged by most regulated state and national lotteries. It is estimated that over 30% of all lottery winnings are achieved through some form of a lottery pool. At this time you will be able to access all of our lottery clubs and lottery pools on our site. Are there any restrictions on which clubs I join? Each Lottery Club Manager (LCM) sets his/her own terms for their repsective club. Please read each Lottery Club Manager’s Profile and Agreement before joining. If you have any questions, please contact the LCM. Does Group PLAY purchase the tickets for each lottery pool created? No. You are pooling lottery ticket purchases from a third party; neither GroupPLAY.com nor Group PLAY International, Inc. is the lottery club manager unless clearly stated. Lottery Club prices and fees are set by the Club Managers in our network. ALL SALES AND BIDS ARE FINAL. No refunds, transaction cancellations or exchanges will be issued for date/time changes or partial performances. Cancelled events will be handled on a case by case basis. All prices listed are in US dollars. What is an 'UNFILLED' lottery club? An UNFILLED lottery pool does not have enough member entries to begin purchasing tickets and playing the lottery drawings. The lotto pool is basically waiting for more members. Once the member entry limit is reached, the lottery pool will become ACTIVE and the lotto pool will begin play. What is an 'ACTIVE' lottery club? An ACTIVE lottery pool is currently participating in lottery drawings and has all member entries filled. Once the lotto pool becomes ACTIVE, a member cannot remove their entries. The lottery pool remains ACTIVE until all lottery drawing have been played. Once this occurs, the lottery pool is over and the club moves into a CLOSED status. What is a 'CLOSED' lottery club? An ACTIVE lottery pool is currently participating in lottery drawings and has all member entries filled. Once the pool becomes ACTIVE, a member cannot remove their entries. The lottery pool remains ACTIVE until all lottery drawing have been played for the club. Once this occurs, the lottery pool is over and the pool moves into a CLOSED status. What if one of my clubs hits the jackpot? If a lottery pool for a lottery club wins a jackpot where the state must be involved, the lottery club will be paid as soon as the state payment occurs. Tax implications must also be handled in this process. Can I join the same club more than once? Yes. A member can make as many entries into a lottery club as he/she likes. Each entry is an individual piece of the club's winnings. If a pool allows 100 entries and a member joins the club with 10 entries, then the member receives 10 shares (10%) of the club's winnings. What if I forgot my login information? You can get your login information e-mailed to you from the Main Page. Click 'Forgot Password' while entering the e-mail address you have as a member in our system. If you do not remember the e-mail address you have on file with us, then go to the Contact Us page and contact us directly. How does the Group PLAY rating/feedback system work? All Lottery Club Managers (LCM) and Group PLAY members over time will receive a feedback rating. This unique system is designed to recognize those LCMs and members who are providing a positive experience. Conversely, for those LCMs and members who are not upholding to the standards accustomed by the community, we make this information readily available and maybe used in suspension and/or termination. What is the Win Average Displayed next to each Lottery Club? This is the number of times a Lottery Club wins. It is the overall winning performance for a club. The higher the number the better. For example, if you see .5000 listed next to a lottery club, this means 50% of all the individual tickets selected and purchased, ends up winning some form of a prize. Where are the tickets? The lottery tickets for each drawing are purchased by the various lottery club managers (LCM) in our community. In most cases, the tickets are then scanned into the web site and can be viewed and verified by club members. The tickets will reside with the lottery club manager (LCM). Who buys the tickets? The lottery tickets for each drawing are purchased by the various lottery club managers (LCM) on our site. The lottery club manager (LCM) has the sole discretion on how they will pick the tickets. It may range from their own quick pick system, lottery wheels, or quick picks generated by the lottery retailer.
